Activities and Sports

The Belgian Transplantoux Games are organised for transplant recipients, donors and dialysis patients. Sympathisers can also take part in recreational activities and initiations.

Sports

Badminton
A fast and fun racket sport that is easy to learn. During the initiation, you will learn the basics of hitting, moving on the court and simple game rules.

Tennis

Table Tennis
A fast sport where you hit the ball over the net with a small paddle. It may seem simple, but it can quickly become very exciting. During the initiation, you will learn the correct grip, basic strokes and simple rallies.

Pickleball
A fun mix of tennis, badminton and table tennis played on a smaller court. The game is easy to learn and quickly becomes enjoyable. During the initiation, you will learn the rules, basic strokes and positioning on the court.

Petanque
Throw your metal ball as close as possible to the small target ball. It is a calm and social sport that everyone can enjoy. During the initiation, you will learn throwing techniques, game rules and simple tactics.

Darts
Aim your darts as precisely as possible at the board. Concentration and a steady hand are key to success. During the initiation, you will learn the correct throwing technique, posture and the basic rules of the game.

Archery
Aim, draw the bow and try to hit the bullseye. It requires focus and gives a great sense of satisfaction. During the initiation, you will learn how to handle the bow safely, the correct posture and aiming techniques. Competition at 12 metres.

Cycling – short (avg. 20–22 km/h)
A sporty bike ride at a comfortable pace. Ideal for moving together and enjoying the ride.

Cycling – long (avg. 24–25 km/h)
For those who like to ride a bit faster and cover longer distances. A great challenge for sporty cyclists.

Walking
Walking together is healthy, relaxing and accessible for everyone. You can enjoy the surroundings while staying active. Put on your walking shoes and join us!

Orienteering
Orienteering is a sport that keeps both your body and your mind active. The goal is to reach several marked points as quickly as possible using a physical map. You choose your own route! Each course has two difficulty levels indicated by stars: one for map reading and one for the terrain.

Volleyball
Play together in a team and hit the ball over the net. Teamwork and fun are at the heart of the game. During the initiation, you will learn passing, setting, serving and the basics of the game.

Basketball 3x3
A fast version of basketball played on half a court with three players per team. The game is intense and full of action. During the initiation, you will learn dribbling, passing, shooting and the basic rules of 3x3.

Frisbee
Throw and catch the frisbee with your team and try to score points. A sport full of movement and fun. During the initiation, you will learn different throws, catching and teamwork.

Swimming
Jump into the water and come swim with us!

5 km run
A great distance for anyone who enjoys running. Whether you run at a relaxed pace or go faster, everyone can participate.

Running races & race walking – athletics
Run or walk as fast as possible to the finish line. Challenge yourself and improve your time. During the initiation, you will learn the basics of starting and running technique.

Throwing events – athletics
These disciplines focus on strength and technique in different throwing events. Try to throw as far as possible. During the initiation, you will learn the basics of shot put and javelin throw as well as safe techniques.

Long jump
Take a run-up and jump as far as possible into the sand pit. It is a fun challenge for young and old. During the initiation, you will learn the correct run-up, take-off and landing technique.
